GBH is developing its training solidarity programme for young people in Overseas France
for solidarity
Since 2022, GBH has been rolling out the "GBH Career Springboard" programme (known as the "Tremplin Pour l'Emploi GBH" locally), a professional-integration solidarity programme aimed at young people in Overseas France, in partnership with the Adapted Military Service Regiment (RSMA), the Ecole de la Deuxième Chance (Second Chance School) and various training bodies. To date, more than 100 young people have received training in mass-retail and motor-vehicle professions in Martinique, Guadeloupe, French Guiana and Réunion Island.Since 2022, GBH has been rolling out the "GBH Career Springboard" programme (known as the "Tremplin Pour l'Emploi GBH" locally), a professional-integration solidarity programme aimed at young people in Overseas France, in partnership with the Adapted Military Service Regiment (RSMA), the Ecole de la Deuxième Chance (Second Chance School) and various training bodies. This year, a new programme is being launched in Réunion Island in order to train participants as sales advisers. This course includes six months at the RSMA-Réunion, followed by a work-study course at Gem Formation and GBH stores, in particular Carrefour Réunion, Fnac and Promocash Réunion. This is the 4th GBH "Career Springboard" programme rolled out in Réunion Island.
In Guadeloupe, GBH, in partnership with the RSMA Guadeloupe and the Guadeloupe public education college (GRETA-CFA), has created a bespoke scheme for motor-vehicle professions. The trainees have just signed their apprenticeship contract and are joining the Group’s subsidiaries and the training centre.
GBH wants to provide support to get these young people into work and, once they have successfully completed their training programme, to offer them a job at one of its subsidiaries. Eight GBH Career Springboard programmes in total are being rolled out across the four territories.
