New Caledonia Heritage: A new project from the Fondation Clément
for culture and heritage
Discover New Caledonia's hugely diverse heritage through nearly 1,400 photographs, including 120 archival documents, around 100 themed articles and more than 300 specialised notices covering the entire country. s.
Working in partnership with Editions Hervé Chopin, this project presents the monuments, sites and objects that bring pride to Caledonians of all origin, from the archaeological ruins of the first Austronesian occupations to the modernist architecture masterpieces of the 20th century.
Forty authors have worked together to categorise and write themed articles and introductory texts for the key historic sites and objects throughout the country. These writers are among New Caledonia's leading specialists and were all chosen for their role or expertise in preserving Caledonian heritage.
