Stéphane Hayot, Directeur général de GBH, s’exprime dans le Figaro

Stéphane Hayot, GBH Managing Director, talks to the Le Figaro newspaper following recent accusations against the Group.

"The accusations about our margins are completely false. Our stores have the cheapest prices on the island […]

None of our businesses are a monopology or an oligopoly. There is fierce competition in the food sector, with seven brands operating on the island. [...]

Distributors and local authorities have been implementing this protocol since early January. The prices of the products in question have been cut by 9 euros on average in our Carrefour stores. We expect the State to honour its territorial-continuity commitments so that we can get this price cut down to 20% on average."

Our group

Founded in 1960, GBH developed in the France's overseas departments before expanding internationally. The growth of GBH, a Martiniquan family group, was first built on industrial activities in the food, building material, and tyre retreading sectors. Today, the Group has expanded to include two further business areas automobile distribution and mass retail.

Our commitments

GBH contributes to the sustainable economic and social development of the territories in which it is established by promoting the social, cultural, heritage and ecological environment.
